Mastervolt offer a range of high output marine alternators to suit all requirements. Available in 12 or 24 volt with outputs form 90 to 150 amp, Mastervolts alternators have a robust design guaranteeing high output even at high temperatures in the engine room. Full capacity remains available at temperatures up to 50°C. Fitted with special bearings, these alternators have an extremely long life span of more than 10 years.

Battery Splitting Devices

The traditional way of charging multiple banks of batteries from a single alternator or battery charger source has been the use of voltage sensitive relays (VSR) or diodes. Both of these methods compromise the charging system.
Mastervolt has the ultimate solution to the problem with its Battery Mate. Unlike the VSR, Battery Mate maintains total isolation between the battery banks at all times and, similarly, unlike diodes, there are no voltage losses through the device.
The unit is particularly useful in charging systems that do not have remote voltage sense capability. (Like most standard engine alternators).
